Taelyr and Anthony’s Wedding ~ Mount Airy Mansion

On a beautiful November day we had the pleasure of photographing an absolutely gorgeous wedding for two of the nicest people I have ever met. You may remember Taelyr and Anthony’s story from their engagement session earlier this year. Having met at work, this happy couple is living proof that office romances can be a really good thing! I can’t begin to describe how amazing Taelyr and Anthony’s wedding was, so I will have to let the photos speak for themselves.

Margaux and Joe’s Wedding ~ Kona, Hawaii

On November 4^th, 2011 we had the privilege of photographing Margaux and Joe’s wedding at the Hilton Waikoloa Village in Kona Hawaii. Margaux and Joe could not have chosen a more beautiful spot to gather their friends and family in celebration of their wedding. The light blue water that surround the black lava rock shores of Kona made for an ideal backdrop for their sunset ceremony.

With more than 70 guests in attendance from all four corners of the globe, this was one of the largest destination weddings we have ever seen. From start to finish, their creativity and attention for detail made this wedding nothing short of breath taking!

Katie and Sean’s Wedding ~ Lansdowne Resort, VA

We had the privilege of photographing Katie and Sean’s Wedding at Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Virginia. You may remember this happy couple from their engagement session last fall. From start to finish, Katie and Sean’s wedding was absolutely gorgeous. During a beautiful sunset ceremony they said their vows while friends and family gathered to celebrate their special day.

Susan and Thomas ~ Savage Mill, MD

On November 12th, 2011 I had pleasure of photographing the wedding of Susan and Tom at the beautiful Great Room in Savage Mill, MD. Susan had to be one of the calmest brides I have ever seen. From the start of the day, she was giddy with joy and her warm personality really lifted everyone around her. She of course had good reason to be so happy. She was marrying the love of her life, Tom! I really enjoyed Tom’s quirky personality and sharp wit, but what I liked best about Tom was his haircut!

Surrounded by friends and family, this happy couple said I do and promptly got the party started. If you had never met Susan and Tom before, it wouldn’t take long to realize that they are extremely warm and friendly people. Looking around the Great Room, it was nothing but good times and laughter!

Angeli and Lambros Save the Date Session ~ Arlington Rose Garden

I only met Angeli and Lambros a few short months ago however they already feel like good friends to me. They are an ultra sweet couple and it doesn’t take long to figure out that they are absolutely perfect for each other. I met up with them at the Arlington Rose Garden to photograph a save the date session. We spent about an hour walking around the creek bed and rose bushes, capturing some really great photos of the happy couple just being themselves. For those of you who follow this blog, you will see much more of Angeli and Lambros in the future. We will be photographing a NYC engagement session for them next spring and of course their wedding next June!

Kerstin and Omar’s Wedding ~ Chicago, IL

On October 9th, 2011 we had the privilege of photographing one of the most amazing weddings I have yet to see. You may remember this wonderful couple from their engagement session earlier this spring. Both Kerstin and Omar have dedicated their lives to helping people and this sense of caring spills over into every aspect of their lives. It really should be no surprise that they found each other and quickly feel in love.

Kerstin and Omar chose the Knickerbocker Hotel in downtown Chicago for both their wedding and reception. We took a short walk around the block before the ceremony to take some photos of them. Surrounded by hoards of runners (the Chicago Marathon was earlier that same day), tourist with fanny packs and crowds protesting everything under the sun, a bridal party really didn’t seem too out of place on the streets that day. As the autumn sun began to set, we were able to capture Kerstin and Omar simply being themselves. I really can’t say enough about how beautiful every detail of the day was, so I think I will leave it up to the photos to help tell their story.

A special thanks to the newlyweds for allowing my wife and I to be part of such an amazingly beautiful wedding!

Bart and Jenny’s Wedding ~ Washington DC

Bart and Jenny are an amazing couple and two of the most genuinely warm and friendly people I have ever met. You may remember their story from their engagement session post earlier this summer. Having met as roommates while living in NorthWest DC, they quickly realized that they were absolutely meant to grow old together.

On Saturday, October 1st, Bart and Jenny were married at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Family and friends gathered in the church to witness the two say “I do”. After the ceremony, everyone headed to the Crowne Plaza in Arlington to celebrate the beginning of what is sure to be a wonderful life that Bart and Jenny will share!

Rick and Sarah’s Wedding ~ Kent Island, MD

Anyone who follows my posts will know that I think very highly of Rick and Sarah. You may remember them from their Front Royal Engagement Session. Rick, a pilot and Sarah, a doctor are really an incredibly happy and fun couple to be around. We had the privilege of photographing their backyard wedding this past September. Sarah meticulously planned many of the details herself and I have to say that she did a fantastic job! A sunset ceremony on the bay provided some really great opportunities to photograph Rick and Sarah as they said their vows and cemented their love for one another in front of family and friends. It was one of the most memorable weddings of the year!

Lynsey and Josh ~ U.S. Capitol

Lynsey and Josh are one of those couples that you know from the moment you meet them are absolutely meant to be together. Kind and caring, but also sarcastic and fun loving, these two were a ton of fun to photograph!

For their engagement session, they chose the United States Capitol for its iconic views of DC as well as its special meaning to Josh, who used to work on the Hill. As we wandered around the grounds, Lynsey somehow managed to find several somewhat secluded spots to make a wardrobe change. (No easy task in one of the most heavily monitored locations in the world!)

On May 12, 2012 Lynsey and Josh will say “I do” surrounded by family and friends in what is sure to be an amazing and beautiful wedding!

Candice and Luke ~ Potomac, MD

We had a fantastic time photographing Candice and Luke’s wedding at the Bolger Center on September 17th. This incredibly warm and happy couple have a way of making everyone feel like family. Candice looked like she stepped straight out of a 1940′s Hollywood film, full of the elegance and grace that defined that era. Luke matched her look with a bit of his own modern flare, making their wedding one of the year’s most stylish.

It was an honor and pleasure to be part of such a special day in this amazing couples lives!
